STARTUP Award 1.0
As a core mission to uplift and strengthen the Startup Ecosystem in Nepal, NYEF Kathmandu initiated Startup Award in 2021 as its flagship program. Despite the hurdles put forward by the Covid-19 Pendamic, the NYEF Startup Award 1.0 was a huge success.
More than 150 companies applied for the award from throughout the country, representing more than 30 industries. 7 startups were selected and were mentored by industry professionals and experts. They got an opportunity to pitch before a group of prominent investors and judges and other startup founders. 2 of those startups are currently in the fundraising process.
The Startup award is an opportunity to learn from experts and mentors, network with investors and industry leaders, and set up a platform for growth within the largest community of entrepreneurs in Nepal - NYEF. The Startup award is a platform for startups to showcase their products and achievements to a larger audience. As an annual event, we look forward to honoring startups that have contributed to the change and growth of the nation.
